Refrigeration
Calcium chloride refrigerating brines are highly effective for use in ice rinks and other low-temperature applications. Used as a secondary coolant, the solution provides continuous chilling.

Where To Use
With a freeze point as low as -60°F, solutions made from calcium chloride are highly effective refrigerating brines used in ice rinks and other low-temperature applications. Calcium chloride is used as a secondary coolant, chilling the ice or refrigerated surface. Within a closed, continuous loop, the brine is chilled to provide cooling to the refrigerated surface. Then, the brine returns to be rechilled and the cycle is repeated.
